Yesterday, I shared my pattern for a quick and easy crochet wreath for Fall. Today, I’ll share with you the patterns for the crochet flowers that go on the wreath.

Crochet Flowers

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 skein super bulky weight yarn in color of your choice (I used Bernat Softee Chunky in Teal)
  • 1 skein medium weight yarn in color of your choice (I used I Love This Yarn in Sea Blue)
  • size L-11 (8mm) crochet hook
  • size I-9 (5.5mm) crochet hook
  • yarn needle
  • small scissors

Crochet Flowers

We’ll begin with the smaller “Daisy” flower. You’ll need a medium weight yarn and size I-9 (5.5mm) crochet hook.

  1. Create a magic circle, ch. 1
  2. In the circle, *hdc, ch. 3* Repeat ** 5 more times for a total of 6 ch. 3 spaces. Join with slip stitch to first hdc.
  3. *Sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc into first ch. 3 space* Repeat ** 5 more times into each ch. 3 space. Join with slip stitch to first sc.
  4. Working on front side of flower, *sc around post, ch. 3* Repeat 5 more times for a total of 6 ch. 3 spaces. Join with slip stitch to first sc.
  5. *Sc, 3 hdc, sc into first ch. 3 space* Repeat **5 more times into each ch. 3 space. Join with slip stitch to first sc.
  6. Continuing to work on front side of flower, *Sc around post, ch. 2* Repeat 5 more times. Join with slip stitch to first sc and fasten off.
  7. With yarn needle weave in ends on back side of flower.

Crochet Flowers

For the larger “Rolled Rose” flower, you’ll need a super bulky weight yarn and a size L-11 (8mm) crochet hook.

  1. Ch. 27
  2. Skip 4 ch, sc into 5th ch from hook.
  3. *Ch. 2, skip 1 ch, sc* Repeat ** across.
  4. Turn piece, sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc in each ch 2 space across and also in ch 4 space at end.
  5. Finish off leaving a long tail.
  6. Thread long tail through yarn needle.
  7. Form flower by holding short tail and rolling petals around themselves.
  8. Using long tail, sew petals into place. Be sure to capture and secure all petals. Fasten off.
  9. Weave in ends on backside of flower.

Crochet Flowers

To finish the crochet wreath for Fall. Attach your purchased fabric flowers and your handmade crochet flowers to the wreath using hot glue. I laid mine out ahead of time and secured them after I was sure of the placement I wanted.
