I know, we’re already well into fall. I’ve been in denial. Don’t get me wrong, I do love fall and I think it’s the perfect season. It’s just I’m not ready to see summer go. Not yet!
I don’t have much of a choice now do I? To get inspired, I thought I’d find some new fall colors. I went right to Pantone and checked their Fall 2014 Fashion Color Report.
I admit, I wasn’t excited about all of the colors in the pallet. However there were a few I couldn’t get enough of!
I always find myself drawn to warm colors. That aurora red caught my eye along with the two neutrals; aluminum and cognac.
I kept going back to the aurora red and misted yellow grabbed my attention. I’m always buying clothes in that yellow even though it’s probably not the best color on me! I wanted to liven up the combo so I added in sangria and I love how it made the pallet feel fresh and contemporary.
For this last combination I resisted aurora red. Kept misted yellow and aluminum (I love gray!!), and I brought in cypress. This palette has an natural, earthy vibe I love!
How would you use Pantone’s Fall 2014 Colors? I’m wanting to try something with bright cobalt. What colors would you use?
