February’s Crochet Along Granny Square Pattern – Lisianthus

Make 4 Squares

Foundation: With pink yarn, make a magic ring.

Round 1: ch 1, 18 sc into ring, join with sl st into first sc.

Round 2: ch 1, 1 sc into same place, [ch 3, skip 2 sc, 1 sc into next sc] 5 times, ch 3, skip  2 sc, join with sl st into first sc. (6 ch 3 loops)

Round 3: ch 1, [1 sc, ch 3, 5 dc, ch 3, 1 sc] into each of next 6 ch 3 loops, join with sl st into first sc. (6 petals)

Round 4: ch 1, 1 sc into same place, [ch 5 behind petal of previous round, 1 sc between 2 sc of previous round] 5 times, ch 5 behind petal of previous round, join with sl st into first sc. (6 ch 5 loops)

Round 5: ch 1, [1 sc, ch 3, 7 dc, ch 3, 1 sc] into each of next 6 ch 5 loops, join with sl st into first sc. (6 petals) Break off pink yarn.

Round 6: Join dusty green yarn between any 2 sc, ch 1, [1 sc between 2 sc, ch 7 behind petal of previous round] 6 times, join with sl st into first sc.

Round 7: sl st into next ch 7 loops, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), [7 dc, ch 2, 3 dc} into same loop, *10 dc into next ch 7 loop, [3 dc, ch 2, 8 dc] into next ch 7 loop, **[8 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] into next ch 7 loop; rep from * to ** once, join with sl st into 3rd of ch 3. (16 dc along each side of square) Break off dusty green yarn.

Round 8: Join dusty purple yarn into any dc stitch. Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc into each dc of previous round, working [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] into each ch 2 corner sp, join with sl st into 3rd of ch 3. Break off dusty purple yarn.

Round 9: Join fisherman yarn into any dc of previous round. Ch 1, 1 sc into each dc of previous round, working 3 sc into each ch 2 corner sp, join with sl st  into first sc. Break off fisherman yarn.

Using a yarn needle weave in all ends.
