I saw several Halloween tutorials on mummy glasses but I wanted a grown-up version. I couldn’t find any so I create my own Mummy Cocktail Glasses. You know what Halloween Mummy Cocktail Glasses are good for? Mummy Mudslides! I’ll share that recipe and a fun straw topper to go with it on Friday.

I didn’t have traditional hurricane glasses so I went out to pick a few up. I could not find them! (Now that I say that… you know what will happen, I’ll see them in every store I go to!) Maybe it’s a seasonal thing, or they’re just not in fashion right now. Either way, I got creative and used these Picardy Stemware water goblets from Pier 1. If you have a hard time finding hurricane glasses, just use anything with a stem at the bottom and wide bowl. They are available on Amazon: Libbey Cocktails Island Hurricane Glasses.
Let the glue dry a few hours, the purple will disappear. To remove the gauze after your done entertaining, just soak your glasses in water for couple minutes then pull off. If you use an Elmer’s Purple Glue Stick, the glue will wash right away!
The really fun part is what goes inside these glasses and I’ll share that on Friday. Mummy Mudslides and Petrified Straw Toppers are coming up!
