March Crochet Along Granny Square Pattern

You’re probably asking yourself, “Why is she posting the March Crochet Along Granny Square Pattern in April?”! Well…because I forgot about it! I was working on the pattern for April today and realized, I had never shared the pattern for March. My bad, I hope you can forgive me.

Since things are always better late, than never, here is the March Crochet Along Granny Square Pattern – The Primrose!

Make 4 Squares

beg cl = beginning cluster made from 3 dc sts

cl = cluster made from 4 dc sts

Foundation: With dusty purple yarn, ch 6 and join with sl st to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 5 (counts as 1 dc, ch2), [1 dc into ring, ch 2] 7 times, join with sl st into 3rd of ch 5. (8 spaced dc)

Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), beg cl into next ch 2 sp, [ch 5, cl into next ch 2 sp] 7 times, ch 5, join with sl st into to of beg cl. Break off dusty purple.

Round 3: Join dusty green yarn, ch 1, sc into same place, *ch 2, working over ch 5 sp to enclose it work 1 dc into next dc of round 1, ch 2, 1 sc into top of next cl; rep from * to end omitting last sc, join with sl st into first sc.

Round 4: Sl st into next ch, ch 1, 1 sc into same place, *ch 3, 1 sc into next ch 2 sp; rep from * to end omitting last sc, join with sl st into first sc. Break off dusty green.

Round 5: Join pink with sl st into any ch 3 sp, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), [1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] into same sp, *ch 2, 1 sc into next ch 3 sp, [ch 3, 1 sc into next ch 3 sp] twice, ch 2, **[2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] into next ch 3 sp; rep from * twice and from * to ** once again, join with sl st into 3rd of ch3

Round 6: Sl st into top of dc from previous round, sl st into ch 2 corner sp, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), [1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] into same sp, *ch 2 [1 sc into next ch sp, ch 3] 3 times, 1 sc into next ch sp, ch 2, **[2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] into ch 2 corner sp; rep form * twice and from * to ** once again, join with sl st into 3rd of ch 3.

Round 7: Sl st into next ch 2 corner sp, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), [2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] into same sp, *3 dc into each ch sp along side of square, **[3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] into next ch 2 corner sp; rep from * twice and from * to ** once again, join with sl st into 3rd of ch 3. Break off pink.

Round 8: Join fisherman yarn into any dc along side of square, ch 1, 1 sc into same place, 1 sc into each dc of previous round, working 3 sc into each ch 2 corner sp, join with sl st into first sc. Fasten off.

Using a yarn needle, weave in all ends.
