Yesterday we shared with you a 4th of July, inspired meal. Today we’ll finish it off with red, white and blue fruit kabobs. They’re a perfect easy and healthy dessert and they look so pretty on your table!
We try to eat healthy and know that there are others out there that are doing the same. I appreciate when I go to an event an the host has a few healthy alternatives out. I notice that many times those are the most popular items too! Just because it’s healthy, doesn’t mean it has to be boring. Get creative and use what’s in season. These fruit kabobs are perfect for that!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Begin by washing the black berries and strawberries. Peel and slice the bananas, hull the strawberries and cut in half. Now for the fun part, simply skewer the fruit onto the picks. Begin with a strawberry (red), then a banana slice (white) and finally a black berry (blue). Place on a tray, add a side of cool whip and you have a healthy, simple dessert for your Independence Day celebrations!
