My favorite poem is the one that starts ‘Thirty days hath September’ because it actually tells you something.—Groucho Marx

August, you went by so quickly! It always does. September has it’s share of fun things though and the September mood board has just a few things that are on my mind this month.
Apple Moscow Mules: September can still bring on some warm days and an Apple Moscow Mule is perfect. This version uses apple instead of lime which goes perfect with that refreshing ginger taste. I love copper mugs, I found mine at Target.
Faux Fur Vests: I love wearing vests in the fall, they add just the right amount of warmth without all the bulk of a coat. Besides, winter is coming and I’ll have my fill of coats soon! I’m loving the fur vests I’ve been seeing and this one from Evereve is perfect. It’s on my list.
Bonfires: My absolute favorite thing to do on crisp fall nights is to sit by a bonfire. I love the smell and the mesmerizing flickering of the fire. Can not wait! (image)
Zinnias: Summer’s flowers start to fade away and the hardy fall flowers step up. Zinnias are a favorite! The photo above was taken by Sharleen and she has a beautiful Instagram feed. She’s a florist you know!
McCoy: I’ve been building my house plant collection back up recently and it makes me so happy! My last house didn’t have much light and everything I tried to grow just died. I have a small collection of McCoy planters and now that I have a big sunny window to fill, I’m on a mission to grow my stash. I like having something in mind when I’m exploring antique markets, you can never have too much McCoy! Apartment Therapy has a great post about the McCoy Pottery company if you’d like to learn more.
