  • With Mark Bittman's philosophy, wsight don't have to miss out on those flavors, textures, and ingredients, but still get a lot of the health benefits of a vegan diet. He knows his stuff but also knows what is reasonable and that humans enjoy eating, so the VB6 philosophy doesn't tell you to become a slave to stats or never ever eat dessert again.

There is nothing that he absolutely says to never eat because he realizes we are all human and have our weaknesses, though he makes it pretty clear which foods he thinks we should avoid as much as possible. I feel like he's preaching to the choir here. This books makes a lot of sense to me though that doesnt mean I'll follow it. The recipes look de I came to this book on the recommendation of my new family doctor. His doctor, and friendtold him once he started the medication --he would be on it for life.

It's about making better choices that we can welght with. Taste and adjust the seasoning and serve the falafel drizzled with the sauce. And best of all, you will be able to do just that while eating as well as or better than you ever have before, and without denying yourself any food you really love.
