I have dark chocolate almost every day —I love it and it helps me avoid feeling deprived or restricted. Eat low-fat dairy products sparingly and replace dessert with fresh fruit. Any woman who can lose pounds —and keep it off—knows more than most diet gurus about what you need to eat to burn fat and fight that ever-constant battle against weight regain. It didn't matter if it was a happy gathering or sad, people were always offering each other something to eat and you don't want to insult anyone by not eating—it's a part of my Cuban culture. The goal is to feel great and confident in you as the strong mama you are!

When you travel, celebrate special occasions or entertain, indulge in diverse foods but keep your portion sizes small to compensate. I have more I am making as I go through the process.
